Screen printed and naturally dyed t-shirt
Isn’t it amazing how many beautiful colours our nature offers? Nature’s pigments can be extracted to be used in fabric dying and even ink making. Inspired by nature’s palette, I've curated a collection of naturally dyed t-shirts featuring screen-printed patterns using natural ink.
At the heart of this series is the enchanting frog motif, chosen not just for its artistic appeal but also for its rich symbolism. Frogs, known as farmers' allies, play a crucial role in pest control. In Chinese culture, they symbolize fertility and are connected to the ancient goddess 'Nv Wa,' the creator of the world.
There are 2 colours in the series:
Purple comes from logwood
Pink comes from avocado
I know! Both produces surprisingly different colours from what you’d expect!
The patterns are printed in avocado ink.
